CORS CARON

None of Liz's owls or harriers for me this afternoon as I walked along the path from Ystrad Meurig as far as the site of the old tower hide. However I did see a flock of 13 Bullfinches feeding on buds beside the track and soon after, 3 Willow Tits together. Two more Bullfinches were seen.
Retracing my steps the Willow Tits were now accompanied by several other tits, Goldcrest and Treecreeper. A noisy fourth Willow Tit was seen close to the car park.
Also on my way back a Green Sandpiper flew up from a little stream right by the track.
I also met Andy the warden who gave me an interesting update on recent sightings on and around the reserve.
