This young Glaucous gull landed in front of Red sitting in the the Breakwater hide just after high tide this morning. We all had good views and I managed this pathetic digi pic from Dolmen hide when it came up to sit on the mud. It had pinched some food from a greater Black back earlier and subsequently been chased around.
We also had great views of a Goshawk crossing the river and a Spotted Redshank gleaming in the sun with quite a lot of its commoner brethren around on the inner edge of the saltings.
Well worth getting down there tomorrow for the Spring Tide.
