Teifi Lapwings, Goldies and Reed Buntings

Large numbers of Golden Plover and Lapwing are regularly around the Teifi Estuary at the moment. At high tide they are in fields between Cardigan and Mwnt.
Today we estimated 500 Lapwing and 200 Golden Plover.
While watching these we spotted a colour ringed Reed Bunting that was ringed on the Teifi Marsh.
This is the first time that one has been seen away from the reserve. See the latest post on the Teifi Ringing Group blog for more about this. If you see any Reed Buntings please remember to check their legs and report any colour ringed birds to us via the blog contact form.
