Late afternoon there were 50+ Fieldfares flying into the willows near the waiting room to roost but just before, as the sun went down, 2 foxes were in the rushes at the edge of the flash eyeing up the teal and mallard which were, however, well aware of the danger and kept to the ice-free water in the centre.
Up in the Cambrians the eagle still flies, coming up for 5 years now.
