Late news from yesterday - Bean Goose still present.
A Welsh Rarities Panel meeting strategically arranged at Ynys Hir meant that we could arrive early and pay homage to the Ceredigion Bean Goose. We picked it up distantly from Clettwr Railway Bridge with at least 20 Greenland Whitefronts. I presume it's a 'tundra' bird but was too far for us to be sure. Has anyone seen it well enough to assign it to race? Also present in the ever worsening weather and rapidly rising tide were 250+ Golden Plover. We returned to the car only to find the road flooded and an hours wait ensued while the tide receded. Luckily the car had been parked just high enough! I dread to think what would have happened if I'd parked in my usual spot!!
