March Field Trip to Henllan

I will be leading the walk next Sunday and hope a few of you can make it, although I realise it is a very long way for those of you up north. The details are under "field trips". The focus of the walk will be, to some extent, on the calls and songs of the birds. So, if this is all a bit of a mystery to you, or your ears are feeling a little rusty, as it were, I hope this stroll will be of assistance. Expect to see familiar species but Grey Wagtail, Dipper and maybe Goosander could be present on the Teifi I guess. I have also recorded Marsh Tit very near here on one occasion. In April 2008 there was also a record of a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker at "Henllan Woods" in the annual report. A long, long, long shot, but you never know. I think I'm supposed to tell you that I am intimately acquainted with the area but in fact I've never walked any of the paths either so it will be a journey of discovery for me too. I imagine the footpaths will be muddy.
