Happy Days in the Hinterland

I've been walking in the clearfell plantations (Bryn Glas/ Bryn Moel) above Llanddewi Brefi these last two mornings and things far from gloomy. Wrens, presumably recovered from those harsh winters, were especially numerous. Two pairs of Stonechats were good to see. Also counted approximately 40 singing/territorial Redpoll buzzing about. Other birds inc. Single Crossbill ans Willow Warbler. The Great Grey Shrike which was present on the 8th Feb was still there in the Bryn Moel area.
