Swift at Llanrhystud

Started at the beach car park at Llanrhystud. A good passage of Linnets in progress; ca 80 during my time there. Wheatears also moving through. A minimum of 22 including at least two Greenland birds.
Five Ringed Plover and three Dunlin on the beach, with another Dunlin (pictured) on the flooded field.
Also a steady stream of Swallows with a few Sand Martins.
I made my way down to the lime kilns hoping for some migrants but could find only a Chiffchaff.
My disappointment was eased, however, when a Swift went hurtling through, followed 15 minutes later by my first House Martin. Wrong order, surely. Lots of Sand Martins round the cliffs here.
Back at the car park where just offshore were 15 Mediterranean Gulls.
I had intended to have a walk along the coast south of Plas Morfa, but the road was being resurfaced and there was no access, so I continued to Aberaeron where three very obliging Whimbrel rounded the morning off nicely.
