Another Aber seawatch

A stiff onshore wind, a little bit north of westerly, had me on the Castle at 7:00am.
Pretty quiet for the first 30 minutes or so, except for a few manxies and the odd Gannet, then numbers passing, almost all to the south, increased and this continued, so I stayed for a good two hours.
Final counts were:
Manx Shearwater 2355, Gannet 33, Kittiwake 35, Fulmar 3 and Guillemot 8, plus a few distant auks.
At one point, a Turnstone and a Sanderling flew in from the north and landed on College rocks. Later five Turnstones flew off the rocks and a passing Redshank completed the wader count.
Back down on the prom, I noticed a suspicious telescope poking out of a car window, and found John. We had each been watching the seabird passage, oblivious to the other person.
