Garganey

A cracking male Garganey on the river at the southern end of Tregaron Bog this morning. Single Little Egret and Little-ringed Plover also present. From the way the lapwings are behaving I'd estimate that about 6 or 7 pairs are still on eggs or have young. As if to emphasise just how chilly things were this morning i only saw one dragonfly on the wing, a single, sluggish 4-spot chaser.
