Kestrels and the importance of having adequate wellies

Watched 3 Kestrels working together this morning to defend what I guess is an active nest site. Under attack; Kites, Ravens and Buzzards. I presume one of the birds might be a juv. from last year, but don't know. Any ideas? Equipped with a new pair of wellies without holes in them I also explored a very wet field near Llanio which has long caught my eye and found 6 singing Reed Buntings as well as a pair of Sedge Warblers feeding young. Finally, seeing Swifts too. Yesterday at Llandysul/Henllan/Aberbanc.
