Not so many birds on this stretch today as previous but enough to keep the interest up. Stars of the show were the adult and juvenile peregrines hunting the cliffs at Graig Ddu. As at Gilfach, further down the coast, they seem to target the oystercatchers which instantly raise the alarm. I watched peregrines for some hours recently from an anchored boat just off the shore at Gilfach terrorise the oystercatchers there for some hours. They kept on trying but the oystercatchers seemed to have them worked out. Others today were stonechats, ravens, whitethroat, kites, buzzard, cormorants, shag, herring gull, great black backed gull, dunnock, juvenile blue tits, robin, blackbird, and goldfinch.
