Aberystwyth seawatch

A lovely sunny morning found me on a bench on the north side of the castle, out of the cool and freshening southerly wind.
Small numbers of Gannets and Manx Shearwaters passing, then the odd Kittiwake began to appear, first singly then in small groups, culminating in a party of 11, all adults and all going south, as were the Gannets.
Totals: 46 Gannets, 51 Kittiwakes. Three Mediterranean Gulls and two parties of Common Scoter, totalling 34 completed the line up.
After about 90 minutes Sue Reeves came along and we spent another hour chatting, during which time she told me that she counted 26 Long-tailed Tits moving through her hedgerow yesterday.
