Ynyslas today

A Red-legged Partridge with its tiny chick put in an appearance on the Clettwr riverbank early this afternoon. We watched it for a few minutes but then it started raining again, so Buster and I got back into the car and moaned to each other about the weather.  While we were doing that a Kingfisher landed briefly on the handrail of the bridge.
Before visiting The Clettwr we did Ynyslas again, and got quite wet.
Beside the Leri Boatyard we saw about 16 or 17 Linnet and 3 juvenile Stonechat, and feeding in the recently ploughed field was a flock of about 35 gulls, Herring, Black-headed and at least 3 Meds.  In amongst them were 5 Curlew.

Wilł it ever stop raining?

Summer 2015, I will remember it well.  It was on a Tuesday!
