Shoveler at Aberystwyth, etc

16 Ringed Plover and 15 Turnstones at Castle Point this morning. Over by College Rocks a Shoveler (prob Juv) was floating around in the weed which gathers on a rising tide.
At Borth, huge numbers of Manx Shearwaters with enormous loose rafts between Upper Borth and Ynyslas.
Very large numbers flying around, with many close in, but like Liz I looked in vain for one which wasn't black and white. At least 100 Gannets around but hardly any feeding activity among either species.
At Ynyslas, a minimum of 200 Sandwich Terns and small numbers of the usual waders.
