Field Trip sightings

Many thanks to everyone who came along this morning. I hope you all enjoyed the walks. We started at Aberaeron. A couple of dark-breasted Brent Geese were seen before most of us arrived. Birds inc. 70-100 Golden Plover, a few Turnstones and a Redshank, plus a pair of Stonechats and 3 Mediterranean Gulls. Offshore, a few Gannets and Shags. The number of Plovers reflects that we all estimated them a little differently despite the excellent views! At Llanerchaeron, Dipper, Grey Wagtail and at least one Crossbill. There were good numbers of Kites and Buzzards about. Red and myself both reckoned we'd heard about half a dozen Treecreepers on our way round. Total no. species seen 45. I think.
