It seems to be the season of individual bramblings. The pictured bird has
been with us in Tregaron since Tuesday and has teamed up with the greenfinches
and chaffinches. Last autumn/winter we did not have any bramblings. Also, canada
geese seem to have family issues this year - following on from the individual
adopted by the group of swans in Aberystwyth, Ystrad Caron today features
another individual in the company of 58 greylag geese. Also a stonechat, 24
lesser black backed gulls and a male and a ringtail hen harrier.
