Aberystwyth

After the last two days when the weather kept me more or less housebound it was good to get out again this morning, though I didn't find anything new or wildly exciting.
A short seawatch brought 19 Common Scoter, three Red-throated Divers, two Kittiwakes and a Gannet.
Still six Purple Sandpipers in the roost and the male Black Redstart was perched in the same spot where JV and I  saw him last Friday.
An area of flood water on Blaendolau fields had attracted eight Med Gulls and 40 Common Gulls.
