After checking the Purple Sandpiper roost and finding seven, I decided on a final seawatch from the castle.
The highlight was two adult Gannets heading south, as was everything else. Hugging the wave troughs, they gave frustratingly brief views until finally gaining a little height as they passed the point.
Also, a party of five Shelduck, a bird I see passing here in ones and twos very occasionally.
A total of 33 Common Scoter went by, in six groups ranging from two to ten, and three Red-throated Divers.
