Slavonian grebe
A vey nice Slavonian grebe was right in front of the Breakwater hide at RSPB Ynys-hir at high-tide this morning. Also a chiffchaff in bushes to the right of the hide, a jack snipe flushed by the high-tide and a spotted redshank with the redshank on the flooded fields. Wellingtons are essential though as the tidal flap which drains the grassland is letting water on (it should be closed at high-tide), flooding a lot of the paths.
