Aberarth north to Graig Ddu

Usual suspects present - stonechats, whitethroat, chough, raven, jackdaw, blackbird, cormorant, oystercatcher, gulls, goldfinch, swallows, peregrine and red kites. Plenty of swallows running purpousefully north picking off the hatching hawthorn flies that were in abundance. Best views were of two peregrines terrorising two oystercatchers on the beach. They did circuit after circuit trying to catch them out but the oystercatchers were a match for them. I watched one peregrine sit patiently on the beach for at least 20 minutes looking quite frustrated hoping they would forget it was there. At one point the peregrine took exception to a kite that ventured into the area of play and a mid air tussle ensued. Got some shots but pity it was 200 yards away.
