Few days in the county pays off as always.
IAn enjoyable few days in Ceredigion. Just when I thought Spring migration was over, I stumbled across a nice Short-toed lark at Ynyslas. Other birds seen over the few days included an unseasonal Greenshank, Cetti's Warbler, Yellow legged Gull, flock of Sanderling, Goshawk, Crossbills, Redstarts, Wood Warblers, Whimchats and Tree Pipits. Thousands of Manx Shearwater and hundreds of Gannets feeding offshore. Plenty of Dragonfles and Damselflies - four spotted chasers in the main. Hundreds of Early Purple Orchids around. A great few days as always and good to bump into Harry Pepper and John Davies- both birding gentlemen.
