Garden bird

Caught in the act: a couple of siskins have been visiting the sorrel in our wild lawn.  I've not seen them do this before and it gave me a chance to study their bills which are very broad at the base and very pointed at the tip.

Meanwhile back in the troubled world of politics news came through of the WAG decision (Jane Hutt) to give the Chair of the climate and environment committee to UKIP convert Mark Reckless.

"As Chair of the Climate Change Commission before last March I wrote to all political parties in Wales asking them to commit to a pledge to follow throuugh on the Paris COP Agreement in Wales if elected. We had a one word answer from Mark Reckless "No"!!!"
