You don't often get the chance to
see a Swift's foot, the attached pic is from one of my empty boxes this
non-breeder was in earlier today defending the box from other birds trying to
gain access; it returned tonight and as you can see a nice pic that shows those
very sharp forward facing claws.
Plenty of non-breeders about the
last couple of days having a last fling before they disappear
