Aberystwyth and Ynyslas

The mix of passage waders at Aberystwyth varies from day to day at this time of year (as it does everywhere else of course), and this morning I found 13 Turnstones, two Common Sandpipers and a Redshank on College rocks.
A party of five female type Red-breasted Mergansers flew north offshore, and then came back again a few minutes later.
Met up with Bob and John at Ynyslas but despite all our efforts and excellent views we couldn't find anything else in the flock of 500 plus Dunlin and Ringed Plover, which also included 22 Sanderling.
Add 105 Sandwich Terns and that was our lot.
