Teifi Waders

A Curlew Sandpiper and Little Stint were among the mobile small wader flock on the Teifi this morning.
The total number of waders was around 80, mostly Dunlin, with a single Turnstone, 4 Sanderling and  12 Ringed Plovers. All feeding on the mud below the caravans but flew upstream around 1pm.
There has been a turnover of larger waders this week with at least 3 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Greenshank, 2 Knot, 2 Redshank and an increasing number of Curlew. 13 Little Egrets around the estuary. A single Wigeon is back.
