I spent just over an hour in the Saltings hide at Ynys-hir this morning, hoping that the high tide would push birds close up to me. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. However I did witness a Peregrine make several attempts to snatch birds from the surface of the estuary water, and I was lucky enough to see an immature Marsh Harrier quartering the Saltmarsh and gradually heading up-stream towards Glandyfi.
