Ynyslas and Borth

Ynyshir or Ynyslas?  I chose Ynyslas and a brief stop at Borth lifeboat brought 48 Gannets, plus four Sandwich Terns and three Med Gulls on the beach.
Fewer small waders around today, though we did get a Curlew Sandpiper at the tern posts and a Little Stint at the point.  Also at the point, ca90 Sandwich Terns, three Med Gulls, a couple of Common Gulls, a Guillemot on the river and a Great Crested Grebe on the sea.  A Peregrine also caused a disturbance.
Quite a social event by Ceredigion standards, with appearances by John and Jill, Simon, Arfon, Mike Bailey and David Barratt, a photographer.
Mike had earlier been to Glandwr, where still 31 Black-tailed Godwits, plus two Greenshank and a few Snipe.
A look at the sea from the north end of Borth brought my best sighting of the day; two male Eider flying north.  John and Jill then joined me and we enjoyed eight Red-throated Divers (six in summer plumage), five Guillemots, a few more Sandwich Terns and at least 20 Common Scoter.
