Cross Inn Forest, Sunday afternoon
An afternoon dog walk; several small groups of Redpoll, then the first bird I saw on reaching the clearfell was the shrike on top of the nearest pine stump at 4.15, watched for 15 minutes.
On the way back many little groups of Redwing against the stunning red sky.
