Ynyslas yesterday

As reported yesterday - the Ynyslas end of the estuary was devoid of birds. They were probably all up the top end sheltering from the winds blowing straight down! At the 'Leri posts' just a lone Dunlin, and a few gulls - Herring and Black Headed. A whisp of four snipe however flew by heading up the Leri.
At the turn car park - the sea was much calmer than the estuary  - a good number of Gannets heading north and a single Scoter just off shore. Here two whisps of Snipe flew past a four and a five. Must have been a good movement these last few days as it many were seen on Sunday out on Cors Fochno. Around the dunes and pebble park - two Wheatear and several Mippits.
