Snow Buntings at Ynyslas

John and I met for a spot of birding this morning.  After a brief look over the estuary from the Dyfi Bends Layby, (where we didn't see much at all) we headed for the Clettwr.  We got terrific views of a Dipper close to the Ford,  and further along we saw a Green Sandpiper.  Then it was on to Ynyslas to look for Snow Buntings reported seen there yesterday.  We walked through the dunes via one of the boardwalks and exited onto the beach.  Heading north we bumped into Edward who was watching four Snow Buntings in amongst the sand and pebbles, resting perhaps, because there was no apparent food source.  The birds, two males and two females were very obliging and showed beautifully.  After a while they flew over into the dunes.  We followed and got even closer/better views than before.  John did a lot of digiscoping - photos to follow when his Internet connection is sorted...
