Gannets off Aberystwyth

John and I have been having a little competition to see the last Gannet of the year in Ceredigion so I was delighted when one flew south off Aberystwyth about 9 o'clock this morning.
I gave John a quick call to let the old boy have a chance to see it before it disappeared (spirit of goodwill to all men, etc) and luckily he had seen it passing.
About half an hour later, as I was about to go home, another one went through so I decided to hang on for a while longer and managed to get a total of nine in the next twenty minutes.
Still another six days to go, though.
