Aberystwyth coast

This morning, 14 Ringed Plover and a Purple Sandpiper on the rocks, 32 Turnstones by the pier and a female Red-breasted Merganser inshore.

Steve Davies

I was at Castle Point shortly before Steve and had 15 Ringed Plover and a single Turnstone, but didn't check by the pier.
I later revisited the area and found four purps on the wall on the rising tide, a Kingfisher on College rocks and a Little Egret flying north quite high offshore.
During fairly short periods scanning the sea during both visits there were at least 15 Gannets, about 12 Kittiwakes and a Red-throated Diver.
