Aberystwyth

The only bird at Castle Point when I arrived this morning was a Kingfisher, though 19 Ringed Plover flew in when the tide ebbed. Just two Purple Sandpipers on the wall.
Looking through old reports, January Gannets are quite a rare sight here, but we've had so many this winter that a single bird seen during a 25 min seawatch was no surprise.
Also passing were two Kittiwakes, a Red-throated Diver and six Common Scoter.

Ian
I've been meaning to do your New Year quiz but haven't got round to it yet.  I like my mince pies really stale.
