Lesser Spotted Woodpecker activity is on the increase at Ynys-hir. Had the male calling and drumming yesterday afternoon around the main woodland.
Peak activity today was between 7.30 and 8.30 where I saw the male three times, twice drumming around the main woodland and then again near the tractor shed.
Six Sand Martins also over the pool in front of the visitor centre and a smattering of Chiffchaffs around the reserve.
