The Great Grey Shrike was still in Cross Inn Forest last Sunday, 2nd, seen in the morning by Andy James and in the afternoon by Paul Bennett. Andy also had a Goshawk and Paul a pair of Crossbills.
On Monday 3rd I noted a Red-throated Diver, four Gannets and a Sandwich Tern at Aberystwyth after which Paul and I visited Ynys-hir, Ynyslas and Borth.
On the Breakwater fields were two Black-tailed Godwits in summer plumage, a Grey Plover which wasn't, and the wing-tagged Marsh Harrier made an appearance.
At Ynyslas; 42 Ringed Plover, 11 Dunlin, two Turnstones and two gorgeous Golden Plover.
At Borth a Merlin flew in off the sea and continued inland at great speed.
