One of this morph arrived at a nest box this morning. It looks at first glance like a female singing! How unusual are they? I have handled many spring Pied flycatchers at various lighthouses in England and one in France and of course seen many birds here in Wales, in Devon, and in Scandinavia and in 61 years this is the first brown morph I have seen.
There is something on the internet about female Pied Flycatchers singing, but I can't access the article, for some reason.
