Ynyslas

A short sea watch between 0715 and 0820 by the brick house near Ynyslas was quite productive this morning. The usual guillemots, manx shearwaters, gannets and sandwich terns were moving off-shore. Very unusually there were 5 puffins flying north, the first I have seen at this location and at 0805 a great skua flew north very close in. The 7 eiders were still at the usual spot catching a large number of small crabs. Also on the sea were 27 red-throated divers a few in full summer plumage.
