40 minutes at the layby mid afternoon.
Poor light but good birding with 6 little grebes, single grey
plover, common sandpiper and black-tailed godwit on the river with usual small
numbers of curlew, redshank and oystercatchers. Distant kestrel, a red kite and
buzzard on the saltings and then superb views yet again of a female hen harrier.
A flock of 200 lapwing on the farmland on the Meirionnydd side of the
estuary.
