Interested to read of the Green Woodpecker calling at Cross Inn on Sunday. I don't
recall any mention of Green Woodpecker calling over the winter period when people
were looking for the shrike. There was a Green Woodpecker calling around
Llanddewi Brefi daily from 07/02/19 - 06/05/19. The bird was calling throughout
the day and although the bird was calling around the cottage it was never seen.
Cross Inn is not really that far for the bird to fly so I wonder if it's the same
bird. Little Egret at Pant pool 10 00 to day and one at Cors Caron 1045.
Cuckoo, Wood warbler, Pied flycatcher, Redpoll and a Willow tit almost certainly
feeding young at Bont Wood this afternoon.
