Cors Caron

A short-eared owl circling high up with a kite, before heading off to the north, was the highlight of a walk around Cors Caron this morning. On the lake, almost 100 wigeon, 40 teal, two tufted duck and a pair of gadwall. Single willow tit and redpoll from the boardwalk.

On the way home I stopped at Tynybedw (to look for pine grosbeak - without success!), where there were more redpoll including a partially albino bird with an almost completely white head.
