Jill and I went to the brick-house at Ynyslas this morning where 350 Common Scoters could be seen and 2 drake Velvet Scoters. They were all gradually drifting north.
From the north end of Borth prom we then saw a further 87 Common Scoters and 2 close female Velvets. Also, 11 Sanderling.
Chris then rang to tell us that John Gettings had seen a f/juv Black Redstart on the Old College at Aberystwyth. We looked for it without success but saw the usual Pied Wagtails and surprisingly, a Grey Wagtail on the building.
