In an eventful half hour yesterday in a 1km section of open spruce and larch, sightings included a flock of 15 crossbill, 2 redpolls, several small groups of siskin and a male goshawk. I then had a male crossbill singing.
2 woodcock at dusk on our fields here at Pandy on New Year's eve were our first sightings this winter.
