Whilst drinking my coffee this morning I heard an ominous clunk on the window pane. I went outside to investigate and found this poor little female Bullfinch on the balcony floor below the window. She was still alive, but only just and sadly didn't recover. Interesting to note that from the material she had been gathering in her beak it looks like she was either still building or repairing a nest somewhere nearby.
