A walk along the old railway this morning. i was surprised to see 15 Mallards fly off from a small farm pond just before a Kingfisher flew across the water. Best of the rest was a Dipper, hurtling upriver. A Small Tortoiseshell made a change from the usual Speckled Woods along there.
