It wasn't only the weather that seemed autumnal at Ynyslas on Wednesday
afternoon. There were at least half a dozen curlew on the estuary with a couple
on the ploughed field behind the boatyard. Also on the estuary were a few black
headed gulls and two sandwich terns. Optics weren't up to scanning for med
gulls. Only a couple of immature gannets at sea near the estuary mouth
