A Purple Sandpiper was with five Ringed Plovers on the rocks at Castle Point this morning and a Rock Pipit produced a couple of half-hearted song flights. Still very quiet offshore; just a single Common Scoter.
A variety of birds were singing along the Ystwyth by Llanilar on Wed and Thurs, including Dunnock, Great and Blue Tit, Song and Mistle Thrush and Blackbird. A Cormorant flying down the valley was quite unusual for this site and a pair of Goosanders were by Pont Pant-mawr.
