New Quay summary

 Yesterday (7th) a group of 6 red throated divers followed by 2 shellduck flew eastwards across the bay during a quick scan with the binos. Also seen was a single red throat on the water. This is probably the same bird that has been seen over the last couple of weeks by Kendall Evans and myself. Also seen by both of us was a single great crested grebe in breeding plumage. Probably the same bird that I have previously reported.

Recently the ledges have had a few hundred auks on them but by yesterday they were all gone again. Fulmars have also been presen
