Little Grebes have bred successfully on the lake (4 chicks). Tremendous amount of damage being done to the hedges/tree lines below DF, with industrial scale chipper munching up whole trees. Surely, this should not be happening at this time of year especially? Exactly the same thing is happening in Henllan, immediately to the north of the miniature railway. In fact, the ongoing destruction here is even more extensive, at what I believe is a semi-ancient, parkland type landscape with lots of old oak trees.
