Seawatches

Seawatches from Tan-y-bwlch and castle point yesterday morning produced a total of 21 red-throated divers, 35 auks, 16 common scoters, 2 great crested grebes, 1 gannet and the highlight being a great northern diver heading north. There was also a dunlin on the flooded fields.

Today the sea was much quieter, 1 red-throated diver, 2 guillemots, 3 common scoter and a drake shoveler flying over the sea which was a bit of a surprise. Also had my first white wagtail of the year fly in off the sea and north over castle point.
